Count Down To 3rd Grade

We have learned so much throughout the year, and of course had some fun!  We cannot believe that our time together is soon coming to a close.  We are celebrating each day as we count down to 3rd grade!

10 Days to the End of 2nd Grade

On Day 10 we enjoyed a Blow Pop!  Nothing better than enjoying a Blow Pop while we work on Friday!

9 Days to the End of 2nd Grade

On Day 9 we enjoyed eating lunch outside at the new picnic tables!  A lunch is so much better sitting in the sunshine with our friends on Monday!! :)

8 Days to the End of 2nd Grade

On Day 8 we enjoyed getting artsy during an Arts & Crafts time!  Paint, markers, crayons, scissors, etc.  We got super crafty on Tuesday!

7 Days to the End of 2nd Grade

On Day 7 we enjoyed an extra recess!  The kiddos enjoyed the extra time outside.  It was especially fun because kindergarten was outside at the same time & we had several siblings that had a chance to play with each other  (and then even a big 5th grade sibling was saw at the end of  recess)!

6 Days to the End of 2nd Grade

What can a 2nd grader do with a blanket and flashlight?  Well, they can build a pretty awesome fort with their friends.  On Thursday, the students brought in blankets to make forts.  After building their forts they either read or wrote in them with only the light of their flashlights.  Fun was had by all!! :)

5 Days to the End of 2nd Grade

Who doesn't like playing board games with their friends?  We enjoyed playing different games brought from home and that are at school.

Also, since Field Day was rescheduled for Monday, we also had a building time in using Magnetic Tiles and Zoobs.

4 Days to the End of 2nd Grade

What better way to spend our last Monday together than to hike to the playground at Rock Bridge State Park, play, eat popsicles, and hike back!

3 Days to the End of 2nd Grade

A few weeks ago, we finished our read aloud of Matilda, and today the kiddos enjoyed watching the movie.  Grandma Jane brought in donuts and Lexi & her mom provided popcorn for the class.  It was a wonderful morning!
