Communication

Communication between parents/guardians and teachers is key to student's success!  Please familiarize yourself with all the ways that communication will occur throughout the school year.

Blog and Email

I like to create a weekly blog post or email that gives specific information on what's happening academically in the classroom and share any reminders for the upcoming week.  Please read over the blog and email to keep up-to-date on what's going on in your child's class!

Email is the quickest and easiest way to get a hold of me.  My email is elmottaz@cpsk12.org.  I check my email on a regular basis (when I am not teaching).  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me!

Twitter

If I have a downfall it might just be that I over "tweet"!!  Please follow me on Twitter @MottazCPSMizzou.  This is quick and easy way to checkout what we are doing in our virtual classroom.  You can alays look at our Twitter feed on the right side sidebar of this blog.  If you are a RBE Bear your can also checkout the RBE Twitter feed there also.  Great place to be able to "see" what's happening throughout the day!!

Seesaw

Our classroom will be using Seesaw this year.  I have dabbled with Seesaw in the past but this will be my first year of full implementation-which I am super excited about!!  Seesaw will be how your child will be turning in work to me.  Each student will be creating a portfolio throughout the school year of their learning.   You will be able to checkout what your child is doing through the family side of Seesaw!  

I will be using Seesaw as a communication tool between school and home.  I might send out a reminder notification to the whole class or there is also an option for direct correspondence between myself and one family.
